The Riveter is GeekWire's Newcomer of the Year

We are so excited to share that The Riveter was awarded the Newcomer of the Year award at the GeekWire Awards in Seattle on May 4, 2017.  These annual awards recognize the people, companies and technologies powering the Pacific Northwest innovation economy.

All finalists in the 14 different categories were nominated by the tech community and selected by a panel of more than two dozen industry leaders from across the region.  More than 50,000 GeekWire readers then cast votes across the categories.  According to GeekWire, the awards are the “Oscars of the Pacific Northwest.”  Other finalists for Newcomer of the Year included:  Airbnb’s Seattle engineering center, BMW’s ReachNow car-sharing service, M87, and the Bezos Family Immunotherapy Clinic.  The award recognizes a company or organization that has launched in the past 18 months.  We opened the doors to our flagship on May 1 and received the award just four days later!

Thank you, thank you for all of your support.  We built this community for all of you and we are thrilled to share it with you every day.  Next year, we expect to see some of our members up on stage!!!
