A Letter from our Founder: One Year In, the Launch of a New Program, and Countless Inspirational Stories of Ambition

It’s incredible to think that one year ago, we opened the doors of The Riveter’s Capitol Hill location. It was a moment we knew could change so much - both for the community that would grow within our walls and for a reimagined future of work.  When our doors opened, we believed that a supportive, powerful collective would grow to boost women’s economic strength and make a significant impact in both business and community. And thanks to our incredible members and team, it has.

I’m happy to say that the past year has surpassed all expectations. The Riveter’s membership spans two locations in Seattle, with a first Los Angeles location opening next month and more locations to follow this year. We secured $4.75 million in series seed funding to invest in new locations, technologies, and programming for members across the nation. From events with notable luminaries like Sheryl Sandberg to standing in as a staging point for the Women’s March, our workspaces have served as a place to elevate the conversation about women in the future of this country’s workforce and the investment in community. Most importantly, our members have made an impact all their own, from securing VC funding and scaling businesses to returning back to the workforce and learning new skills to navigate the change.

A Better Membership Model

Since forming, we’ve intently listened to our members’ feedback to understand what aspects of The Riveter and our community are most valuable for your success. In this spirit, we’ve adjusted our membership tiers to provide more amenities, flexible conference space, and networking opportunities than ever before.

One change to note is that our Community Memberships will now be $99/month (previously $125)! This change gives Community Members more opportunity to invest in the conversations, networking, and workshops that can be a launchpad for their careers. In other membership plans we’ve wrapped amenities together, and provided access to new programming that will give members an opportunity to form deeper connections and network with peers in new ways, both in person and online.

The Riveter Learning & Development

We’re elevating our programming offerings with The Riveter’s Learning & Development Initiative. We listened to our members and enhanced our programming offerings trainings and workshops closely aligned with their needs. This programming will provide hands-on, accessible business and financial acumen in a welcoming and female-forward work environment. These programs are intentionally crafted to provide women at any stage of their career with knowledge and skills to grow businesses, scale careers, and build solid personal foundations to develop their path to success. If the past year is any indication of where The Riveter is headed, I’m incredibly excited at our bright future ahead. Thank you to The Riveter members and leaders who invested in this community. Without your belief in this collective mission and the importance of making it a reality, we wouldn’t be here today. One year in and the movement is strong. We are excited to invite ambition and continue to grow The Riveter with you.
