Mentor Monday: Lady Bosses

We're finishing up this Monday reflecting on all the amazing women we have as mentors. In numerous industries, women are taking the world by storm and breaking glass ceilings. Look at TIME Firsts after all. It's a prime example of this. So, we've decided to give a shoutout to some of our favorite lady bosses for this #MentorMonday!

1. Sophia Bush

Not only is she a powerhouse in the film industry, but she's a female leader who speaks up for what she's passionate about. What's even better? She takes action to make a difference. She's a changemaker. That's a lady boss we can get behind. Create & Cultivate recently sat down to interview her and we fell in love even more. Check it out here.

"Champion other women. And you'll draw in women who do the same for you."

2. Bozoma Saint John

This mentor doesn't let fear or failure get in her way (we love it). She's confident, sassy, bold (I mean her Twitter handle is @badassboz...it speaks for itself). She's the type of woman we all want to be best friends with and another lady we should all look to as a mentor! Check out her interview here with Refinery29.

“I fail a lot — in small ways and in big ways.  But if I don't fail, I know that I'm not pushing far enough."

3. Reese Witherspoon

We've already highlighted why Reese is a lady boss and she continues to backup our claims. On all fronts she has avocated for women to be more ambitious and to challenge what society has considered "the norm." We couldn't agree more.

All we can do to create change is work hard. That’s my advice: Just do what you do well."

4. Serena Williams

The lady boss who made us all want to become a tennis star. Not only is she a role model on the court, but off the court as well. Serena is an advocate for #womenempoweringwomen and her confidence is contagious (#obsessed). Check out her TIME Firsts interview here.

The success of every woman should be the inspiration to another. We should raise each other up."

We've only named a handful of lady bosses today and we're lucky to have plenty more. We want to hear some of your favorites! Give them a shoutout. Happy #MentorMonday!
