Banding Together to Help: California Wildfires
At The Riveter, we deeply value community and the power of coming together to help others. We are heartbroken for everyone who has been impacted by the devastating wildfires in California, and we’re marshaling our resources and rallying our networks to help. Here are some ways we can all help out our neighbors.
In the spirit of helping our community, our West LA location is collecting donations for those in need. You can bring your donations of the items to 2236 S Barrington Ave between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
Some suggested donation items include:
- Hair brushes
- Kids toys
- Accessories for teenagers
- Adult clothing
- Baby bottles
- Supplements and vitamins
- Diapers and diaper wipes
- School supplies
- Non-perishable snacks
- Water bottles
- Gift cards
Join us at The Riveter West LA on November 27 as we team up with Global Shapers for #GivingTuesday. This event is part of a campaign by the Global Shapers in California, an initiative of the World Economic Forum, to raise funds to support the California Community Foundation's Wildfire Relief Fund. For 15 years, the foundation has offered aid to those affected by wildfires.
Enjoy live performances, guided meditation, and community fellowship to support those in need. Assistance will be used to help rebuild homes, provide financial, medical treatment, and mental health assistance. Register for the event here.
